HD VIDEO over Fibre arrives at homes!
18th April 2008 – Anyware Computer Accessories is pleased to announce the release of OWLink's new Digital Light Link Transmitter/Receiver Set. The release of this product marks a significant step forward in the High Definition experience for commercial and home users.
OWLink Technology, a worldwide leader in digital home network connectivity, has appointed Anyware Computer Accessories as the Distributor for OWLINK in Australia and New Zealand.
Owlink’s Digital Light Interface (DLI™) uses the advanced optical wave division multiplexing (WDM) scheme to transmit uncompressed video/audio and other data over a single transparent fibre cable. With patented technology, Owlink’s DLI interface allows the transmission of high speed HD digital video, high quality digital audio, IR remote control information, USB, LAN, RS232 and other control and data information, all through a thin, transparent, fish line type of single fibre.
Due to this ground-breaking technology, Owlink has obtained recognition and praise all over the world. They recently received the award for the Best of Innovations, Design and Engineering at CES earlier this year. Intel has also commented, giving their approval to the specifications for transmitting High Definition Digital Content Protection (HDCP) video signals over OWLink’s DLI Fibre Optic Links for Encrypted High Definition Video Transmissions.
The FO2800 series of products are innovative connectivity devices that are capable of transmitting high definition video, audio, and control signals over distances up to 300M. Focused on improving the digital experience for home and commercial users, these products allow consumers to place their electronics in the most convenient places without having to open walls to pull cables around.
The FO2800 and FO2850 will be available for purchase from late April, 2008 and will retail for $ 760.00 AUD and $ 970.00 AUD respectively.
